The Two-Way Mirror

The ego’s world is like a two-way mirror. It exactly reflects from the inside – out all of its beliefs of what it perceives is wrong with it. It then sees these beliefs from the other side—the outside—as though its “sins” belonged to the world and it now must suffer their effects. Seeing like this, it then believes it is the victim of the world that it has made. It still suffers the payment guilt demands but at the hand of an avenging world and not its own. Is this insane, or what?
