"Correcting" Perception

To the ego the learning process is one of correcting our perception, not letting it go. This is our attempt to make something real / true out of what is not real or true simply because we have made it. Real change can only occur when we surrender our perception entirely. Resisting the temptation to believe that our perception can “grow” into truth is paramount to achieving true knowledge. It would not have been necessary for us to be given the Presence of the God Self were it possible for our perception to evolve into the truth. The body is itself, a characterization of our perception. Its purpose is to make separation real. As long as we think it is part of us, its existence will limit the reality of our ability to join. To let our perception go also means we must be willing to let the thought that is our body go with it, for the two are the same.
