How would you interpret “free will” if you understood there is no will but the Will of God? Without the will of What created you like Itself there is no meaning to the concept of what “will” is. Free will, then, means we are free to accept the Will of the Creator, or to deny it and experience the chaos of “another,” separate will expressing different and conflicted goals and beliefs. ACIM teaches, “There is no will but God’s.” Everything else is an illusion. This thing we prize so highly to express our “individuality” we mostly use to separate ourselves from the awareness of being a part of the perfect Presence that is the Peace, the Love, the Will of God. The Holy Spirit does, however have a use for our free will. He will help us use it to forgive ourselves for what has only happened in a dream that there was another will apart from the one we share with God.
