Neither the world nor Heaven is a place. Both are a state of mind. The foundation of the world is a belief from which thoughts and experience of separation arise to author a story that seems indisputable to “those” whose belief is being mirrored. In ACIM Jesus describes Heaven as “an awareness of perfect Oneness, and the knowledge that there is nothing else; nothing outside this Oneness, and nothing else within.” We have a tendency to think there is a vast “distance” between Heaven and the world, but both exist this very moment in our mind, separated only by our uncertainty of which we want. Choose to see your brother’s sinlessness. Join with him and close the seeming gap between Heaven and the world.
