Trying to project our “sin” onto our brother has resulted in feeling a need to be different from him, to be removed from the guilt we have given him. Yet it is because of this our innocence depends on finding his because it is in him we have hidden our guilt. This desire to be separate is what hides the truth from us, not only as it relates to our oneness with him, but also as it distorts the rest of our perception, all of which depends on being separate from everything we see. Wanting to see our brother’s holiness reverses the attempt to make him guilty. The desire to find his innocence will open our mind not only to our sameness, but also to recognize and accept our own creations that are a part of who we are.
