When you see hatred or suffering in the world it is, in the egos reasoning, easy to conclude that we are a long way from having world peace. This seems obvious because we see these “perpetrators” as different, with little recognition of the truth, while we who are more “advanced,” are relatively more peaceful. We do not recognize that the differences we see in “them” exist only to validate our belief that we are different and separate. If the idea of differences was not needed to support the misperception of sin, we would recognize that “they” are a part of us, their story of death and destruction another version of political strife or financial hardship. We are parts of a single, whole consciousness, whether we think of it as an ego consciousness, or the Creation of God. Let forgiveness dissolve your need to be different and expect the world to be more peaceful. We move as one, or not at all.
